Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started with KibblePaw

What is KibblePaw?

KibblePaw is a pet adoption superapp for iOS and Android, connecting pet owners, shelters, and animal lovers in Singapore through adoption and community welfare. Browse pets for adoption, message rehomers, and arrange meet-and-greets in one app.

The app also helps reunite lost pets with their families, keeps your pet’s care records in Kibble Passport, and has a community forum where pet owners ask and answer questions.

Where can I download the KibblePaw app?

KibblePaw is a free app available on both iOS and Android. Get it on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. You can also tap "Get the app" on this website to scan a QR code that opens the right store for your device.

How do I create an account?

Download the KibblePaw app on iOS or Android, tap Sign Up, enter your details, verify your email, and complete your profile. You must be 18 or older.

Is KibblePaw free?

Yes. Browsing listings and messaging rehomers on KibblePaw is free. Some rehomers or shelters may request an adoption fee to cover vaccination, sterilisation and microchipping costs.

Who can use KibblePaw?

  • Pet owners who need to rehome a pet
  • Shelters and rescues looking for adopters
  • Adopters searching for a pet in Singapore
  • Animal welfare supporters

You must be 18 or older to use KibblePaw.

What pets are supported?

Cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and other small pets. Browse the listings or filter by category on the Adopt page.

Pet Adoption Process

How does adoption work?

  • Browse or list pets available for adoption
  • Connect via in-app messaging
  • Meet in person
  • Complete paperwork

Screen adopters carefully, transfer any AVS licence and medical records, and keep the pet’s microchip registered.

How do I list my pet?

  • Tap List Pet
  • Upload photos
  • Fill in details — breed, age, sex, vaccination and sterilisation status
  • Add a description of the pet’s personality

Can I visit before adopting?

Yes. A meet-and-greet is strongly encouraged before making any adoption decision, so you can check the fit with your home and family.

How long does the adoption process take?

It depends on matching, scheduling, and decisions from both parties. Some adoptions happen in days, others take longer to find the right fit.

Lost Pets

How do I report a lost pet?

Open the Lost Pets tab in the KibblePaw app and report your pet with its name, type, breed, sex, a description, where and when it was last seen, and up to five photos. You can offer a reward and choose to keep the amount private.

If your pet already has a Kibble Passport, tap Report lost on its profile and the report is filled in with its details and photos.

How do I report a sighting of a lost pet?

Open the lost pet’s report in the app and tap Report Sighting. Add where and when you saw the pet, with a short description or up to five photos. Each person can add up to three sightings per report.

The owner is notified of every sighting. A sighting is visible only to you and the owner until the owner confirms it.

Can I see lost pets without the app?

Yes. Anyone can browse active reports on the lost pets page and share a report’s link. To contact an owner or report a sighting, use the app, and beware of scammers posing as finders or owners.

Can I print a lost pet poster?

Yes. Every active report has a Download Poster option in the app and on the website, with three A4 templates: Classic Notice, Bold Flyer and Minimal Card. Each poster has the pet’s photo and a QR code that opens the report.

What happens when my pet is found?

Tap Mark as Found on your report. Everyone who reported a sighting is told the good news, the report comes off the lost pets list, and its poster is no longer offered.

Kibble Passport

What is Kibble Passport?

Kibble Passport is KibblePaw's pet profile and care record. Each pet's passport has four tabs:

  • Profile: type, breed, sex, age, colour, size, microchip number and sterilisation status
  • History: vaccinations and vet visits, with dates, clinics, diagnoses, treatments and medications
  • Calendar: your own dated notes alongside vaccination, next-dose and vet visit dates
  • Notes: anything else worth remembering, like favourite food and routines

Kibble Passport records are your own notes. They are not official veterinary or AVS records.

How do I add my pet to Kibble Passport?

Tap Passport on the app’s home screen, or go to your Kibbler profile and open Kibble Passport, then tap Add Pet. Only the name and species are required; you can add breed, age, microchip number, up to five photos and more at any time.

Does Kibble Passport remind me about vaccinations?

Yes. The app sends a reminder one week before and one day before each next vaccination due date and each dated note in the calendar. Reminders can be missed or delayed, so keep track of important dates yourself too.

What happens to the passport when a pet is adopted?

When an adoption is completed in KibblePaw, the pet’s Kibble Passport moves to the adopter, who becomes its owner. The previous owner no longer has access.

Community Forum

What is the KibblePaw community forum?

Community is KibblePaw’s question-and-answer forum for pet owners in Singapore. Open it from the app’s home screen to ask about care, training, health and adoption, and to help others with what you know. The forum is in the app only.

Anyone can read the forum. You need a KibblePaw account to ask, reply, react or vote.

How do I ask a question?

Tap the + button in Community and give your question a short title, then add details, an optional pet category, up to five tags and up to six photos. While you type, KibblePaw shows similar questions that may already have an answer.

Can I add a poll to my question?

Yes. When you ask a question you can add a poll with two to six options, allow one or several answers, and choose when it ends, from one day to 30 days or no end time. You can change your vote, and you can end your own poll early.

How do answers and notifications work?

The person who asked can mark one reply as the answer. The question then shows as Answered, the answer is pinned at the top, and its author is notified.

You automatically follow questions you ask or reply to, and you can follow any other question to hear about new replies.

How is the forum moderated?

New questions and replies are checked automatically for spam, and anyone can report a question or reply that breaks the community guidelines. KibblePaw reviews reports and removes posts that break the rules. To prevent flooding, you can post up to five questions an hour and 20 replies every ten minutes.

For urgent health problems, contact a vet instead of waiting for replies.

Goals

What are Goals?

Goals are badges you earn by using KibblePaw. Tap Goals on the app’s home screen, or Goals on your Kibbler profile, to see the 13 Goals and your progress towards them.

How do I earn Goals?

  • First Listing: create your first adoption listing
  • Happy Tails: adopt a pet through KibblePaw
  • Search Party: report your first lost pet
  • Eagle Eye: report your first sighting of someone else’s lost pet
  • Good Samaritan: a pet you reported a sighting of is marked found
  • Local Favourite, Pet Celebrity and Kibblepaw Legend: reach 10, 50 and 100 followers
  • Appreciator: like 10 listings
  • Bookworm: read 10 articles
  • Explorer: search listings with five different keywords
  • Ice Breaker: send your first chat message
  • Verified: have your account verified by KibblePaw

You get a notification each time you complete a Goal. Each Goal is earned once and stays on your account, even if, for example, your follower count drops later.

Can other people see my Goals, and are they worth anything?

Your earned Goals appear on your profile, where other KibblePaw users can see them. Goals are just for fun: they have no monetary value and cannot be bought, exchanged or transferred. Goals earned by breaking the rules, such as through spam listings, can be removed.

AI Features

How does KibblePaw use AI?

  • AI readiness assessment: ranks adoption applications against the pet’s needs and explains the result. Owners review every answer and make every adoption decision themselves.
  • AI pet classifier: suggests the pet type and breed from a photo when creating an adoption listing or lost-pet report. Users review or change every suggestion before saving.
  • AI smart replies: suggests short chat replies to common adopter questions, understands everyday Singlish, and never quotes a price. Owners send a suggestion in one tap or write their own.

KibblePaw’s AI features assist people — they do not decide who adopts a pet.
